Männchen. Auch Typisch für die Große Pechlibelle ist ein dornartiges Gebilde auf der Vorderbrust, das nach oben zeigt. Das braun am Abdomen kommt durch die Sonne, die die Libelle sozusagen röntgt.

Im Mund hat sie einen Snack.
