Die ist sicher Dampfbetrieben und mit dem großen Rad kann man ein Ventil öffnen oder schließen (Scherz). Vielleicht wird nicht so schnell genäht? Zum Beispiel für Lederwaren - das würde auch die solide Ausführung erklären. Aber es kann auch alles anders sein und am Ende ist es das Schleusenventil eines U-Boots...
